Grocery Shop

Time for a grocery haul post. I have not done one before & if they are not your cup of tea then I would click out now.

If , however like me you love a good nosy of another persons trolley of shopping then lets continue.

Tesco has been my shop of choice for ages now. 1 because it is my closest ( & cheapest shop after Iceland)  & 2 because I always have loads of vouchers etc to be using in store. I am hoping though in the new year to shake it up a little & do the weekly shop elsewhere at times ( Sainsburys I have not been too in ages & I am keen to try an Ocado shop - I know how to live.)

Anyway onward. Below are the photos & I will try my best to list everything below each photo & any deals I got on them.

The Andrex toilet paper 9 pack is 2 for £7.50 ( usually £4.49 each.) Aqua Fresh Mouthwash buy one get one free ( £3.29 each.) Dove deodorant ( 2 for £4 on the 250ml.) Rob wanted deodorant too but didn't care what so I just picked up some of the cheaper ones. The moist toilet tissue is 85p a pack. The slippers were £4.

I wanted some new pyjamas as its getting colder now & my shorts are just not cutting it now. These were £9.

Tins of Ceser dog food are 7 for the price of 4 ( usual price is around 70p.) I got 14 tins which will last Barney for just a week there about. Tesco Super Berry Granola. Walburtons Thins ( We have the half & half. They are really yummy.) 2 packs of Tesco choc chip cookies. The boys adore these & at only 40p a pack you can't really go wrong. The multi pack of biscuits was £1.19. Lastly the hot choc sachets were 4 for £1.

Cornflour. Peanut Butter. Chocolate chips & fudge pieces were on 3 for 2. Costing between 70p & 95p.

Frozen products. Tesco own straight cut oven chips. Tesco Butcher Choice Cumberland Sausages. Skinless Salmon ( 2 packs for £6. usually £3.25 a pack.) Turkey rashers ( 2 for £5. Usual price is £2.63 per pack.) Lardons. Tesco Thai Curry ( deal was 3 for £6 but 2 have gone into the frdige for tea this evening.)

Chilled items. Apple Juice 4 pack. Milk ( 3 for £3.) Clover ( 2 for £3.) Activia Natural Yoghurt. Cooked Ham. Bernard Matthews Turkey roast pieces.

Vegatables. Sliced Greens, Spinach & Peppers ( all for the Guinea Pigs because they are spoilt!)
Tender stem Broccoli (2 for £2.) Carrots. Cauliflower. Cherry Tomatos. Sugar Snap Peas & trimmed Fine Beans.

Last but not least we have the fruit. Easy peel satsumas. Cheap Tesco apples. They are for Finley's pre-school mid morning snack so he doesn't need anything too fancy.Red Grapes. Raspberries & Strawberries are on 2 for £4. Bananas & finally Blackberries.

My sub-total was £150.87 but with around £17 worth of savings I paid £133.51.

So I hope you found this post interesting. I know it is normal to record a video rather than make a blog post but right now this is an easier way of doing it for myself. I certainly enjoyed sharing a different topic with you.

Weekend Baking

I was in a baking kind of mood on Sunday. With just a short trip to the garden centre to look at Xmas decorations ( although it turned out not so short) I had a whole afternoon to dedicate to being an amazing mum!!

I made fairy cakes, smartie cookies & lemon butterfly cakes. There is not much left from this baking session so I may be having to get the cook book out again later this week.

October 2013 | Random Favourites

Hi guys. I don't have too many random favourites either this month. But have found some to make a small post with.

Royal Horticultural Society | Wax Lyrical | Fig & Plum candle. I can't find a link for this online but I got mine in my local branch of Waitrose. I love this. I am not a huge fan of citrus type scents for my candles so loved coming across this one. Sweet but not over powering at all.

My last 2 favourites ( I told you it was going to be a short one) are 2 You Tubers who I would like to share with you.

Thewittfamily - I adore watching Clare & her lovely little family. She shares some amazing recipes ( I am ALWAYS hungry after watching any of here vlogs containing food!) & I could what her vlogs for hours.

Sophclare30989 - Very similar to Clare. Everyday vlogs filled with family time, recipes & so much more.

Both ladies are really lovely down to earth people who are just so easy to watch. When you are nosy like I am vlogs are perfect!! lol.

Thanks for reading.

Product Empties #3 | Part 1 | Body & Hair

I can't believe I have enough empties to do yet another post. Not only that there are so many that I have divided it all up into 3 parts again as otherwise it would be one very long post.

Part 1 is body & hair care.

Starting at the back left

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Tropical. We all know I go though tons of this & that I love it! Would repurchase & do so all the time as it is usually on offer somewhere. Available Boots, Superdrug, Tesco etc etc.

Dove deodorant . I go through loads of these too. I have a grapefruit & lemongrass one here as well as a pomegranate & lemon verbana one. Both very nice. Will always buy these again.

Bath & Bodyworks shower gel in Mango Manadrin. 250ml. A shop not here in the UK so I went to eBay to find them. I ordered this one as I love the mango scent. Really nice. I was sure to start with as I did not think it foamed up well. However the scent lasts for ages & it doesn't over power at all.

Cussons Carex Strawberry Laces Handwash. A bit random but as we go through a tons of this I thought I would throw it in too. What is not to love. Does the job it needs to do & it really does smell of strawberry laces too.

Daisy Marc Jacobs Shower Gel. A 75ml tube I got in a gift set with the perfume. This took me just a week or so to use up. Love it. The link shows the 100ml tube.

Soap & Glory Heel Genius. The smell of this is not nice however it works amazingly. As someone who suffers with the horrid dry skin etc I am always in need of a decent foot cream. This did not disappoint & as it was for my feet I did not exactly have to worry about the smell.

Lastly - Heel to Toe soothing heel treatment. I cannot find this online at all. Sallys do the Heel to Tie range but I can't see it so maybe it is not available anymore. Either way i was not impressed. I bought this in a bundle of other things so actually it only cost about 50p . I did not see it do much in the way of solving my cracked heels & what it did do seemed to take a while. It was only a 60ml bottle so I used it but no way would I buy it again( that's if you can!)

Thanks for reading. I'll be back in a day or 2 with part 2 ( skincare.)

October 2013 | Beauty Favourites

Quite a small beauty favourites this month. I have kept using most of the things I used last month so only some things have been switched out for new items.

Estee Lauder "Bronze Goddess." 100 ml/ 3.4 fl oz. A summer time special so I have only been able to find it on eBay right now.
This perfume reminds me a little of Kenzo's Poppy personally. Really lovely & I hope I don't run out too soon as I have used it most days in October!!

Clarins Extra Firming Neck Anti-Wrinkle Rejuvenating Cream. I love this. The scent is a classic Clarins ones. I love popping this on before bed because the scent is really soothing. The cream sinks in really quickly too. I have only used it for roughly 3 weeks so not able to say how much it is actually doing in what it should but so far I have been impressed.Only downer though is the lid does not like to go back on very well. Not sure if it is me being cack handed or a design fault though. Luckily I have kept the tab that sits on top of the bottle so it is helping to keep the jar from drying out .

Bourjois Delice De Poudre Bronzing Powder. have only used this for 3 days so technically it has not been used much in October but include it I will. I really like this. It seems to last for a long time without the need to top up. Some people say it smells like Chocolate but I am not convinced. It is pleasant though. Currently 3 for 3 on make-up in Superdrug so may be worth popping along there.

Benefit BADgal Lash Mascara. A 40g sample size. I love this. I would definitely buy the full size if I did not have a drawer full of other mascaras as it is fantastic. I was unsure about the big brush but actually it is fine & makes my lashes look fab.

Thanks for reading this months beauty favourites. I will be along soon with my non beauty faves too.
