Boys Clothing || Spring 2015

Now that we have finally entered Spring my mind has turned to the wardrobe of my 2 boys. I always love shopping for them more so than myself a lot of the time.

I thought I would share with you the things I have been buying from them.

1st stop as usual is Next.

The 1st 4 items are for Brad. Now he is 12 years old I am very much aware that he will not want anything cute!! Which is a shame but never mind.

Festival Monkey Top ( in Ochre.) Comes in sizes 3-16 & priced from £5.50 to £10.50.
Orange Shark T Shirt - Again in sizes 3 to 16. Priced from £7-£8.
Teal/Green Surf T-Shirt - as before aged 3-16 & £7 - £8.

He does love a hoody & I earned brownie points for it being green!
Hooded Zip Through - Aged from 3-16. Prices £9 - £14. Also comes in Denim Marl, Grey Marl & Cobalt.

I got Finley just the 2 items. Well technically it is 4 too but 1 is a set of 3!

He's another lover of Hoodys too.
Navy Stripe Zip Through Hoody - From ages 3 months to 6 years. Priced from £9-£10.

I thought these T shirts with their boat theme were very cute ( i can still get away with it with him for a few more years I hope!) It was the red stripey one that really caught my eye & the fact they have Brighton in their name.
Three Pack Brighton T Shirts - 3mths to 6yrs. Prices £12 to £14.

Next stop Zara - only 4 items as I tried to restrain myself a bit!!

Brad loves jogging style trousers but I like to try & find those that look a bit nicer if possible. I actually got these in 13/14. I am not sure if they might be a bit big but they can be popped away for later this year of need be.
Pique Trousers With Two Pockets - £12.99 ( ages 3 - 14 .)

Shorts, also for Brad.
Faded Drawstring Shorts - in Light Grey. £9.99. Ages as before.

I got Finley the same in but in Mustard. They also come in blue.
Info as above.

I love a proper shirt. The stripes on this are lovely. It also comes in Pink or Light Green.
Striped Shirt - £10.99 ( in Light Blue.) Ages as before.

Last stop then was a naughty but small haul from Boden.

More shorts for Brad. He likes the elasticated waists so these are ideal & they are striped which is what Mummy loves most!
Sweatshorts (Johnny B) - I paid £27 a couple of weeks ago- could kick myself as now they are reduced to £18.90!

Last but not least a gorgeous striped long sleeve top for Finley.
Super Soft T Shirt - £10-£12.

That's it for now. I will be going to Asda, H&M & probably Primark soon so you may see another haul in the near future.

Thanks for reading & I hope to see you again soon.

March 2015 Purchases

This month there seems to have been quite a lot of spending going on. Although only a couple of items are clothing. The rest is things for the home, some to replace old things & many because I just liked the look of them. It is nice to begin Spring with my house looking a little newer in places.

Some you will have seen if you follow me on Instagram or are a friend of mine on Facebook. Or you can follow me on Twitter too.

I'll start with the clothing as , like I said there is not much of it.

All came from Next.

Fringed Sweater in Aqua £28. Also in White.
I got this in a small. I am a 14/16 right now & although I did not try a bigger size they did look like that would swamp me. The small is just right especially with my on going weight-loss plans.
Sleeveless Utility Shirt in Grey £22 to £24.
Woven Trim Cardigan - £18. It's actually a blue marl although looks grey marl in the photo.
This is no longer on their website.
Sparkle Top in Khaki - £18

Staying with Next for these next 3 items.

I decided Finley needed his bedding updates. Love these as they will do him for many years to come.
2 Pack Blue Check Bed Set - £32.
I've been wanting some new tableware for ages. Very fussy though I am , until I saw these in Next. You'll notice a heart theme as usual.

12 piece Love dinner set - £40

I adore this ornament.
Ceramic Family Ornament - £12.

Moving on to Wilkos now.

This fits in well & always useful having the date at hand sometimes!
Country Classic Calender - £8.99

More bedding , this time for our bed. Not really needed but thought it such a fab addition for spring I couldn't resist & the price at least did not break the bank.
Stitch In Time Duvet Set - From £14 for a single duvet plus matching pillowcase.

Hubby & I had a trip to Ikea at the weekend - yes we have lost the plot but can only go when Hubby has the time. Anyway we needed to pick up some of the Trofast system for Finley's room & I couldn't resist everything else that went in the trolley!
Notebook £1.50 ( Fullfoljqa)

Not sure what I will do with these vases yet, maybe on my dressing table to be useful.
Ensidig vases - £1 each.

All the You Tubers seem to have these plant pots to pop their make up brushes in. I got 2 as not sure whether 1 will be enough. I have some serious sorting out to do not only on my dressing table but the chest of drawers that acts as an overflow!

Skurar Plant pots - £1.90 each.

You can never have too many tealights! The green apple ones are for the tealight holder you will see in a mo!
Glimma ( white) £1.75
Sinnlig ( green) £1.35

I look forward to using this!
Rotera Lantern - £2

Here comes more hearts ...
Sockerkaka heart cake mold - £5.

Another childless shopping trip took us in to TK Maxx where I fell in love with this casserole dish...
Heart casserole dish - £9.99

Then this handy storage spinney thing ( technical huh?!!) for my make up.
Storage "thingy" - £12.99

I don't go to Store 21 often but they do some lovely bots & pieces for the home at reasonable prices.
This heart was just £2 in the sale , although i think it was only about £4 anyway so a steal either way.

Then because my old bedspread needed updating I picked up...
...this lovely throw for £12 ( should have been £19.99 but was 30% off.)

Last stop The Range for this lovely mirror.
Triple Step Pewter Mirror - £22.99

So I suspect Hubby is glad that it is nearly April & that I may spend a bit less!!!

What have you been buying in March?

Wicked Wednesday || Foreman Fin

We went to Ikea at the weekend....Yes ,clearly not thinking straight at all... as we wanted to get some of the Trofast system for Finley's room to try & control the toy situation.
Fin thought he would be Daddy's helper & it went quite well surprisingly I must say.

The details for #wickedwednesday can be found HERE!.

Some days I have finally been able to get away with not wearing boots. Lovely signs of spring on the way.

Keeping Healthy Update 2 - March 2015

Another month has passed since I got back on the healthy trail & I have been much more positive with it this month.

Starting with the diet side of things. Whilst i could probably improve things slightly - weekends are now my biggest downfall - I am still either under my calorie allowance or at least not over by very much at all. I am happy with the way things are in that respect, although maybe I could have a bit more fruit instead of those healthy cereal bars as it is surprising how much rubbish they can still contain.

Exercise is going very well. I now play badminton once a week with a friend & I started at an Aerobics class 2 weeks ago - only been once though as the 2nd week I was ill - with another friend. Along with the stuff I do at home either on the Wii or the PC via You Tube as well as dog walks lasting anything from 30 mins to an hour probably 2/3 times a week too. With the weather getting better I can see myself doing the longer walks much more too.

In the past 4 weeks I have lost 3LBs. Not a huge amount but in the right direction so I am happy.

All told then I am very pleased with how this month has gone. I am hoping I can continue to do as well. I know there will be weeks when it won't go so well but knowing that I am doing something & seeing results , however small,is the best feeling in the world.

See you next month for another update x
